My happy shopping time star exactly on the 26th of December and last for 2 months, and this basically how long the sale at Zara last, normally i find better deals online, except this year where the selection in stores are more attractive. Also, for the past few years i found the best deals on shoes and leather one which came down to 10$, this year on the other hand i found the best deals on jackets and coats. Hit Winners all last week and scored great stuff, they marked down the clearance section,
I went to two location: Stittsville and Bayshore Mall, needless to say that i’ve found more bargains at Bayshore.
I was looking to try a certain style, which is duster coats and cardigans , sweater maxi dresses and shirt dresses, and interestingly i’ve found a lot of pieces at Winners to create this look.
First thing caught my eyes is this Esprit Oversized Coat/Cardigan, came down to 30$ Retails for 135$
And then i found this French Connection Sweater Dress for 34$ down for 100$
And i finally decided to buy this Tahari Duster Cardigan, i was going to buy it before Christmas for 50$ but decided to wait, and i’m happy to did that because i scored it for 16$ only
Finally, this Massimo Dutti Tshirt Dress was mine for only 12$
As for Footwear, there was a small selection in both locations, but managed to find those two shoes
ZCD Montreal Leather Flats, 11$ retails for around 150$
And those Plaid Sperry for 20$ retails for 60$
This my entire shoes shopping the last couple of month, Saks Off Fifth now is my ultimate shopping destination, specially when they do their extra discount on clearance, i’ve scored some amazing deals,

Weather is warmer and Sales is hotter, a lot of deals and sales event started in the last couple of weeks, the best in term of Value was Saks off Fifth, scored great pieces for around 90% off with the extra 40% off on Clearence. Also, scored this Sanctuary Bucket Bag for 35$, originally 250$, from Marshalls; it was 50$ and then i used a 15$ free gift card from Tangers Outlet so it came down to only 35$.
When it was opened last year, i thought like wow, we r gonna shop designers items with a fraction of the price, finally in Ottawa. Well, it’s not really what’s happening. Low quality, old stock, and definetly very high prices. As an outlet in the last days in season sale, i would expect, prices go very low but no, the same prices since before Christmas although they r still have a lot of stock. Today, i went to take a look, i started with the shoes section as it somehow the best deal there, couldn’t find anything impressive but took in my size. Here is some shoes that i liked.
There was a stand with some clearence bags, but don’t bother check them out, the bags were either so old and ugly or with visible defects and the price tag doesn’t refelected their condition at all.
“From a needle to a rocket” this is how we, egyptian, describe a store where you an find almost anything you need, which is any dollar store. I like how all the essentials are in the same place whithout being too overwhelming at the same time, this and the good prices of course. In Ottawa, we have The dollar store and Dollarama as the main dollar store chain, although the dollar store is way cheaper, the quality and brands in Dollarama us way better. The toys section, for example is amazing, i always find 3 and 4$ licensed toys that worth 20$ as retail price; also, the beauty products shelves carry a lot of nice brands hair of and skin care products, the trick is to shop smartley: comparing the prices with the other retailers as Walmart and Giant Tiger help u to know what to buy and what not to. Here’s what i got in the last trip to the both shops.
