When it was opened last year, i thought like wow, we r gonna shop designers items with a fraction of the price, finally in Ottawa. Well, it’s not really what’s happening. Low quality, old stock, and definetly very high prices. As an outlet in the last days in season sale, i would expect, prices go very low but no, the same prices since before Christmas although they r still have a lot of stock. Today, i went to take a look, i started with the shoes section as it somehow the best deal there, couldn’t find anything impressive but took in my size. Here is some shoes that i liked.
There was a stand with some clearence bags, but don’t bother check them out, the bags were either so old and ugly or with visible defects and the price tag doesn’t refelected their condition at all.
“From a needle to a rocket” this is how we, egyptian, describe a store where you an find almost anything you need, which is any dollar store. I like how all the essentials are in the same place whithout being too overwhelming at the same time, this and the good prices of course. In Ottawa, we have The dollar store and Dollarama as the main dollar store chain, although the dollar store is way cheaper, the quality and brands in Dollarama us way better. The toys section, for example is amazing, i always find 3 and 4$ licensed toys that worth 20$ as retail price; also, the beauty products shelves carry a lot of nice brands hair of and skin care products, the trick is to shop smartley: comparing the prices with the other retailers as Walmart and Giant Tiger help u to know what to buy and what not to. Here’s what i got in the last trip to the both shops.
The last couple of years, i used to enjoy Black Friday and Boxing Day relaxing on the couch, snacking on unhealthy food, watching tv and shopping online. I know that i miss better deals in stores but couldn’t tolerate the craziness in the mall. As for this year, i thought that i need to face my fears and to go grab those deals 🤗🤗🤗. Well, i regret it!!
I hit Tangers, Winners and Bayshore Mall but what i’ve scored doesn’t worse getting out in the cold and minding the craziness. The deals weren’t the best, actually the discount was much less than the regular seasonal sale, here is what i’ve bought:
Saks off Fifth Avenue, 34$ (Retail Price 210$)
Found them all in the Clearence Departement, so obviously the boxing day discount wasn’t applied. As for Zara, Aritzia, Gap and the other fast fashion shops, i like to wait a couple of weeks as the prices tend to be better at the end of sale.
If you are into late desingers Shoes, and financially can’t keep up with the Carrie in you, u can still enjoying buying similar designs with a moderate budget. Zara, the most famous high street spanish brand, has a wide collection of shoes that are “inspired” from high end brands.
Several weeks ago, i had an hour to kill during my son Kung Fu practice, so i went to Tanger Outlets with the least intention to buy something. I used to find good deals in the Aldo store there, but this time it was one of my “ultimate” deals in my retail shopping experience. I took a quick look and was about to leave when a 4.99 $ sign catched my eyes; there was two racks of shoes just for 5$ each. Unfortunately, it was sunday and the deal started the day before so most of the sizes where either large or small but i managed to find nice shoes though.
So for only 20$ i bought 380$ worth of exotic and very unique shoes.
